LaserLeap’s patented technology allows delivery of drugs and molecules through the skin, thereby replacing hypodermic injections. It is based on generating high-frequency ultrasound (over 100 MHz) with a portable laser and a highly absorbent material (converter) which is able to effectively convert a pulse of light into a pressure wave (ultrasound). The ultrasound interaction with the superficial layers of the skin causes a temporary change in its structure, which facilitates the transportation and diffusion of drugs and molecules. This process is completely safe since the ultrasonic intensity is lower than that used in physical therapy, and the skin recovers its barrier function within just a few minutes. The final cosmetic result is [perfect- word missing in the French text] since the skin is not perforated and therefore remains healthy and intact.
